Heather Caulfield

Heather Caulfield is a soulful creative visionary Artist, Art Director, Teacher, Author, Designer and Editor. Her first love of oil painting started at 8 years old while studying painting in traditional methods with prominent painter Nancy Prophit in her studio in Detroit MI. After achieving a BFA at the Columbus College of Art and Design on full tuition scholarship, she later studied intensely with master painters such as Nelson Shanks at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, PA and with the great Stanley Mouse in Sonoma County, CA. She painted live at many festivals and events and was a live painter in “Ser La Muse,” a variety show of numerous entertainers performing in Northern California delivering delicious experiences including live painters, belly dancers, entertainers, live music and many muses. Her paintings have been shown in various galleries in multiple locations all across the U.S. She has designed many images and logos, seen far and wide such as licensed graphics for the Grateful Dead, flyers for music events, and screen print designs for local design houses, bands, festivals, and local companies, and designs for Urban Outfitters in Philadelphia PA. Heather has taught classes of all kinds, children and adult, at the Dayton Art Institute in Dayton, Ohio, and private painting and drawing lessons in her personal art studio. She is currently a resident artist at the Bob “Marley Natural” Dispensaries in St Thomas and St. Croix U.S.V.I. She is also currently writing and Illustrating a series of children's books. A mother to a budding artist, she continues her figurative studies while reconnecting with ancestral roots after a long strange and glorious trip.
