Lydia Williamson
Drawing, Painting
I’m Lydia Williamson, an acrylic and mixed media painter with a studio and gallery in Dayton, Ohio, which I opened three years ago with my dad. I’ve been a professional artist for five years, and my work revolves around my "NOODLE People," a series of exaggerated, long-limbed people that explore the humor and awkwardness of human experience.
One of the most notable aspects of my artistic journey is the development of this distinct style, which has allowed me to create accessible, playful pieces that encourage viewers to project their own meaning onto them. What excites me most right now is experimenting with new ways to push the boundaries of these figures—exploring how abstract or surreal they can become while still inviting connection and curiosity.
My creative practice is about freedom, spontaneity, and the joy of creating without rigid rules. Each piece is an adventure, and I’m always excited to see where the noodle people take me next.
My artwork features "Noodle People" with elongated limbs, inviting viewers to explore the playful and open-ended nature of human expression.
