This is the story behind this picture:

“I became curious about the world of [adult videos] and my curiosity quickly became an addiction. . . But I didn’t enjoy it. It made me sick, I cried after each time, and I couldn’t even stand to look at my own reflection. . . After being in college for a while I started to become money insecure. In order to make up for what I thought I lacked in funds and to pay for things I didn’t need I turned to prostitution. I gave myself away to men for money and became a live re-enactment of the very thing that made me cry myself to sleep at night. . . The depression and self-hatred had me engulfed in suicidal thoughts and I almost gave in to them. I didn’t though. And I credit that to the support of friends I’ve had along the way, the great counselors I have, and constant prayers.  After 13 years I have been able to put most of it behind me and begin again. It’s a journey I have to take one step at a time, and a path I have to tread carefully to avoid relapse, but it is worth it. I am in a much better place today than ever I was.”
